Conventional Jigs and tooling are usually quite heavy and not created or manufactured with the end user in mind leading to issues when lifting and positioning on a repeat basis.

Using a mixture of manufacturing methods FDM Digital are developing lightweight solutions for various industry sectors using carbon tube, 3D printed joints with accurate bore machined aluminium drill areas where needed to create a more ergonomic and light weight solutions reducing the health issues connected with repeated lifting and positioning of heavier jigs, using this new methodology we can reduce the weight of jigs by up to 50%.
