HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)
HP MULTI JET FUSION (MJF)
The HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3D Printing Solution is much more than just a 3D printer — it’s a truly integrated end-to-end solution designed to address many of the pain points in existing 3D printing processes.
Why choose HP Multi Jet Fusion?
HP MJF uses a fine-grained PA 12 material that allows for ultra-thin layers of 80 microns. This leads to parts with high density and low porosity, compared to PA 12 parts produced with Laser Sintering. It also leads to an exceptionally smooth surface straight out of the printer, and functional parts need minimal post-production finishing. That means short lead times, ideal for functional prototypes and small series of end-parts.
Ideal applications for HP Multi Jet Fusion
- Low-volume production of complex end-use parts
- Prototypes for form, fit and function testing
- Prototypes with mechanical properties to rival those of injection-molded parts
- Series of small components as a cost-effective alternative to injection molding
Graeme Bond, FDM Digital’s Technical Director, said: “As the go-to additive manufacturing specialists with the largest production capacity in the UK, we’ve always led the way when it comes to investing in future state-of-the-art technology to help our customers reduce lead times and costs, increase speed to market whilst adding design value to the products being produced thereby increasing their profitability margins for the long term.”
“We’re really excited about our investment in this printer. This new technology combined with our in-house Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM) training with time served engineering and laser scanning expertise, will help us deliver great results for all our existing and new customers – it’s going to be a real game changer during 2018!”
